Do Mormons still practice polygamy

The early Mormons did practise polygamy. In fact William Lawwas excommunicated in 1844 for opposing polygamy. Polygamy was officiallyabandoned in 1890, under United States government pressure. We now find in theBook of Mormon (Jacob 2:24-7): “Behold, David andSolomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable beforeme, saith the Lord … For there shall not any man among you have save it beone wife; and concubines he shall have none;”The Mormon Church no longer supports the practice ofpolygamy.
